Hello,

I'm a gamer as well as a student and a writer. I'm preparing for my first build. My past computers have been garbage, and I'd really like a machine that screams. I will be gaming moderately, and I don't need amazing graphics. However, I will be doing constant, heavy use of the adobe creative cloud. I will be using Indesign the most (for desktop publishing) followed by Premiere Pro(video editing) and moderately light use of photoshop and illustrator for graphic design. In all likelihood, I'll experiment with other applications because I can. I'm confident in the 4790k being adequate and expect to benefit greatly from hyperthreading and the high clock rate. I'm very much hoping the Sapphire dual-x R9 280 will be adequate for medium high graphics as well as the various graphic demands of the adobe creative cloud. This is about the most I can afford, and the only thing I've ever spent more money on was a car, I'm confident that this would be a powerful and long lasting machine. I've been criticized by condescending friends for planning to use an itx case/mobo, but the mobo is precisely what I need. Wifi is critical and I realize it could just as easily buy a wifi adapter, but the price point and other features are right in my sweet spot. I have no desire or plans for multiple GPU's or anything else that would require additional slots. Also, I'm not planning a great deal of on-board storage which I will obviously need. I plan to use my a new copy of trusty, reliable external hdd. I need storage that can easily be accessed by desktop or laptop, and this seems to be the simplest solution as I'm still uneasy about the cloud. If you see any weak or some how detrimental components or combinations, please let me know. Also, anything that would save me money without reducing functionality would be appreciated. I feel that I've found a terrific price to performance ratio, if you disagree let me know. I've done considerably research and am reasonably computer literate but I'm still admittedly a build novice My planned build is as follows:

CASE:Corsair Obsidian series 250D mini-itx case
MOTHERBOARD: Asrock Z97M-itx/AC mini-ITX mobo
CPU: Intel i7 4790k
CPU COOLER: Corsair h60
GPU: Sapphire dual-x R9 290 3 gb
RAM: G.skill Sniper series 16 gb 2400 ram
HDD: WD blue 1 tb
SSD: Intel 530 series 240 gb ssd
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650w 80 plus gold psu
PERIPHERALS
MONITOR: Acer 24" 1920 x 1080(can't afford a premium or higher res display)
SPEAKERS: Rosewill 25w (modest but adequate, inexpensive)
KEYBOARD: Logitech g710 mechanical keyboard cherry MX blue keys (I'm a writer and want the noise of a typewriter as well as comfort and precision. Also, membrane/chiclets kill me)
MOUSE: Razer Abyssus(It has to be ambidextrous and ergonomic as I have Cerebral palsy and alternate hands on the mouse/keyboard depending on what I'm doing.

Thank you for your time and consideration

Solution
Be really nice and useful if you could put component and total prices on that build so we can see where alterations might be useful.

PS. If you just edit the top post it'll never pop again. You have to respond to pop it up.
