I want to buy router for my apartment because my older is dead. I have to options that fit in my budget: ASUS RT-N10E and TP-LINK WR841N. My internet is 20 mbps download / 15 mbps upload and i have:
1 pc wire connected
1 pc wireless conected
4 smart phones
1 tablet
1 laptop

They are not connected at the network at the same time. 2 pc computers an tablet are always on other are optional so at least 3 of mentions from the list above are connected at the same time.

In an apartment, I would recommend a dual band router. There are SO many WIFI signals from adjacent apartments, that having a dual band (2.4 and 5Ghz) router allows you to move any devices that support 5Ghz over to the less used and less crowded 5Ghz band. You will be much happier getting a refurbished Asus RT-N65U Newegg if you can. That is a dual band N750 (up to 300Mbit at 2.4Ghz and 450Mbit at 5Ghz) router. Move everything you can to 5Ghz.
