Help no screen after installing new graphic card

Solution
Verify that you have correct external power cables attached to your video card. Agree with Masterdell this is first place to look. this page has a nice picture of the two 6-pin power connectors you need to plug wires into. http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/zardon/amd-r9-270x-review/2/

Then try the removing and replugging the output video connect (hdmi ? dvi ? vga ? dp ?) into the card. If are using VGA with adapter make sure it is plugged in the correct DVI socket. Card typically has DVI-I and DVI-D. You'd use the DVI-i with VGA.

swap your old card back in and verify your system will still boot with old video card. Then verify you have the latest AMD video driver loaded. (this would not explain why the BIOS splash does not appear, but his good hygiene if you get the system running again.)

post details on your system. Do you have another computer to check video card? Did you read the 'no video on boot' sticky, it's pretty good.

Rather than plugging in the old card I would suggest running off of integrated graphics to check if the system is still working fine.
