I only have 3 chrome tabs open, and I have no idea what is using all the ram. In the task manager, nothing individually is using more than 200mb of ram, that being chrome, every thing else is <100mb. Any help would be appreciated, as other threads about this problem were not specific to mine.

All my drivers are up to date, and I have been running anti malware, and nothing has come up.

Not comforting that you were having this same problem a year ago and no one ever replied with a good answer.

Been having this same issue ever since the Windows Anniversary update. At seemingly random times, my computer just eats up 16GB of ram with seemingly nothing running. Task manager only shows less than 1gb being used, yet it shows 99% being used. It causes my system to stutter and crawl. Sometimes this happens when playing gmaes, other times it happens when doing nothing at all. There seems to be no patter or reason for it and I cannot figure out what the cause is.

Did a complete full reinstall of windows and it still happens. I've tried swapping out ram sticks with no improvement. Not sure what the cause is, but it is getting really annoying.
