I recently built a computer, but have yet to be able to do anything with it. I put it together, but it will not even post. I took it to several people, they said it was put together correctly and that it was likely a motherboard error. We tried switching the RAM and using 1 stick with no luck. Voltages on the power supply are correct. No sounds are made by the motherboard speaker. My CPU does not support the on-board graphics so there is no way to know that it isn't the gpu other than the lack of noise. fans run fine as well as the hdd. Nothing is displayed so nothing has been done to BIOS. Just a black screen that reads no signal. Error code 5d appears on the motherboard. part list below. please help.

Solution
Board was manufactured in March 2014. A BIOS update is required. Try borrowing a supported CPU and flash the BIOS, or return the board and ask a newer/different one that would support the 860k
