Hey I just read this guide on how to overclock with my motherboard -> http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1578110

I think it worked great, my CPU speed / GHz (not good with these names yet so i dont know what to call what) went up to 4.25ghz after I changed the volt to 1.425. And this is the maximum I've seen at the task manager. At the same time it says the maximum speed is 3,40 GHz. Am I doing something wrong? Cuz in the guide he overlocked it to 4.8ghz. Should I add some more volt and how much? What programs to check with?

i7-2600k
ASUS P8P67 deluxe b3
Noctua NH-D15

Thanks in advance
PS. Im new to this so please no haterino :)*

No hating but you absolutely need to read and read again the overclocking guide. Changing voltage does not itself increase the overclock. changing voltage allows the cpu to handle a higher multiplier(speed in mhz). for instance, my multiplier is set to 45 and the bclk is 100 which results in 4.5 ghz with a voltage 1.28v. keeping voltage as low as possible means less heat and less degradation of the CPU over time(in general).
