Which is a better upgrade from an dual core A6 6400K ?

Solution
Like RazerZ has kind of recommended a few times you should think about getting the 750K also. The 750K is a 5800K without IGP and the 760K is the 6800K without IGP. The best CPU for FM2 is the 760K but the 750K is nearly identical (both based on piledriver) but the 760K/Richland can overclock a little higher. Seeing that the 750K is cheaper than the 760K you should think about that. Any speed difference can be fixed with a overclock but even without it going from an AMD Dual-Core to any Quad-Core will be a huge difference. Don't be surprised when your FPS average or at least minimums jump up (improve).

They will be basically the same as far as CPU upgrades. Price would be the most important but I would recommend the 760K is these are the CPUs you are looking at.

The 760K is Richland based while 5600K is Trinity. The 760K will overclock better and higher (if you plan to OC) and the stock clocks should be higher than the A8 5600K. At the end I would choose what is the cheapest as both will OC to a decent 4.5GHz at the least. The 5600K will probably run hotter due to the IGP, not sure if it will use less if the IGP is disabled.
