I recently attempted to use easytuner6 and caused myself issues. I was going through it and found the FSB, thinking it would make my computer faster and would caues no harm, i simply upped it from 200 to 225. my multiplier is 17.5 and im running around 3.5ghz but it stays around 3.8ghz generally. Its an AMD FX(tm)- Eight-Core Processor, with a 400W power supply and 8gb ram. I dont know what happened but now i cant system restore, i cant use my control panel (when it opens it stays white), and i cant open up certain programs such as my battle.net launcher for WoW. Any help is much appreciated.

P.S- as soon as i changed the fsb to 225 my comp crashed it said something went wrong, it was instant.

First you should reset your bios to the default. The issues you are experiencing are most likely due to overclocking.

Two ways to reset bios

1. Go into the bios and reset it
2. Unplug the power cord from the computer -> Remove the round battery from the motherboard for 5 minutes and the put it back it

Note for the future.

FSB is not the first thing you should overclock and should only be considered if you want an extreme overclock. Normal motherboard usually cannot handle over 210, raising it to 225 was asking for trouble.

Just remove the video card to gain access to the battery. If the video card has any power cables connected, remove those first. You should also disconnect wires from the back of it.

Looking at the slot the video card is inserted into, all the way to the right there should be what looks like a tab. Slide that to the right to unlock the card. You can just pull up to remove the card then.

actually the system restore wont work, i click it and nothing happens, i talked to a guy with microsoft he said it was probably my hard drive, but idk, that seems kind of unlikely but it did make some sense, my cpu is still fast, still loading a lot of stuff, but my control panel wont open it just stays white so i have to enter its aspects through different means, my audio stopped working, my battle.net launcher wont load, just stuff like that. also when i go to open up my bios on restatt, i press the necessary button and the bios does not pop up despite what i do. ive tried tapping the buttons quickly, slowly, and holding the buttons, no luck. like i said, system restore wont work either

Bios is the firmware that runs the system, not just the sound. You usually access it by pressing delete when the system is starting up.

Do you know the manufacturer and model of your motherboard? You can usually punch them into google and it will bring you to the information page for that motherboard. On that page there should also be a downloads section.

I agree with your judgement. This is an issue that requires significant troubleshooting which takes a long time doing it through this forum. I reply, you reply, at this rate it's going to take weeks to solve. A much simpler problem to solve for the tech when the system is in front of them.
