Yesterday on Christmas I received a Corsair CX600 power supply, Nvidia EVGA GeForce GTX 660 3GB FTW Signature 2 GDDR5 Graphics Card, and a Rosewill Challenger mid-tower case. However with my previous computer's mobo (HP 6005) it was in the wrong orientation in the case, the optical drive, harddrive, ddr3 memory sticks, cpu and heatsinks are the only pieces of hardware I can transfer over with no problem. Today, I got a new mobo; Asus Motherboard m5a78l-m usb3, It is correctly positioned in the case, the GTX 660 fits just fine, and the power supply cables are where they should go. When I go to start it up, nothing displays on the monitor, whether the VGA or DVI cable is in the motherboard or graphics card, but then to later find out that a USB mouse/keyboard does not light up while in either of the panels, which lead me to believe that the panels don't work, plus, I cannot shut the computer off with the power button or reset button after starting it up, so i have to turn it off by switching the power supply off, plus all the fans function and other hardware sound fine by the way. After looking up similar problems here on Tom's Hardware forum, it looks like I need an ATX12V 4-pin connector, I also see a 4-pin socket on my mobo that is not plugged, my power supply doesn't seem to have one either. Is there any way around this? Everything else is connected properly, do I need a new motherboard or powersupply? If I need to replace any of these hardware parts, it will be a real bummer, because I couldn't play high-end games when I wanted to; on or shortly after Christmas. Thank you to anyone who replies, I hope I gave enough information. :)

Solution
The power supply should have a 8 (4+4) pin power connector - labeled as CPU. Just split those two connectors and use one of them.
