I recently decided to upgrade from a mac to a pc. I have a lot of movies and shows on the mac that I tried to copy over to the pc. I can not seem to find the files anywhere on the PC though, even though disk management shows the space is taken up. I have tried using the command prompt to search for all directories and files using "dir \a" and "dir \ah" but it is not showing the file containing the videos. Anyone know a way to find the videos so I can access them on my pc?

I have used Paragon HSF+ before. It was one of the better ones as it allowed use of the native Explorer. I have also had issues with transferring files where it would actually not transfer from a HSF+ drive to NTFS although the space got taken up. If you have the Mac drive still I would suggest formatting the partition on the NTFS drive and try copying it over again.

That is the down side to third party tools vs native, such as developed by Apple/Microsoft. They tend to come with their own set of bugs and issues.
The problem is that your partition is probably formatted for Macs (HSF+) and Windows cannot read HSF+ without a secondary application.

That application looks to allow you to at least read HSF+ but not write. The best bet is to copy all the files you want to another drive then format it into NTFS (the native Windows HDD format) and then allocate it for whatever you want.

Guess I left out some details... I used Fuse (https://osxfuse.github.io)
and ntfs - 3 (http://macntfs-3g.blogspot.com/2010/10/ntfs-3g-for-mac-os-x-2010102.html?m=1) to copy the files from the mac drive to the ntfs drive in the pc, but now I can't find the files on the pc drive.
On top of that, I am using paragon hfs+ (http://www.paragon-software.com/home/hfs-windows/) which allows me to read the mac drive, but I still can not find the videos I transferred onto the pc drive
