Gigabyte 970A UD3P with an FX6300?

Well I've just seen the cost of upgrading to an Intel rig and I nearly collapsed.
So my new idea is get an FX 6300 and slap it on the 970 UD3P.
But there is nothing out there about this board I've looked high and low even in the dankest corner of the interwebs still nothing.
So anyone know anything about this board I should know?
I know what it says on Gigabytes site but I want to know more about it seeing as am broke and don't have the money to spend on another board.

Specs right now are:
FX 4100 @ 4GHz
Biostar TA970
Sapphire R9 270X 2GB OC @ 1200mHz

The thing is the chip and board where second hand and are dying out on me with all the bloody power surges thats happened this year and then there's the dead PSU that again almost killed them meaning its time to upgrade, already got an XFX 650w in there so just need the chip and board.

Would I be better off going with an Athlon 860K?

I have around £120.
I am going off the recommended specs for AC Unity and Dragonage when I say that the G3258 won't cut it as they require quad cores I could well be wrong and that chip may bulldoze the the Athlon but I haven't seen any evidence to support that.
If the G3258 is a better choice I have the CPU already so all I will need is a motherboard.

Sound as would I be better off getting another motherboard something like the ASUS Z97-A or MSI Gaming 3?
