My thread was deleted for some reason. If it was deleted because someone posted about a similar thing an hour ago, then please note that his is a wireless keyboard. Mine is not. So please, do not delete this thread without giving a reason. I have searched the forums and turned Google inside out, no luck with my specific issue.
Let me type this out again.
Basically, I got a CM Storm Quick Fire TK many months ago, and I instantly noticed that whenever I play a game that requires that you hold down a key for long periods of time, 1-4 seconds repeatedly, it will cut out, while the LED's remain active (meaning not a power issue, most likely).
So I usually notice it with movement keys, because I will stop moving or turning. I will be holding A or D, and it randomly cuts out, it will work again if I release the key and press it again.
This isn't a problem for most games, but for this specific game it is very important and definitely a game breaker (surfing in CS:GO, if anyone is curious.)
LED's remain active, key input cuts out/resets.
I have updated all drivers, I have tried USB 2.0 and 3.0, I have tried 6 key and N key rollover, none of it changes anything regarding this problem.
Worth noting is that I RMA'd the original keyboard, just got a new one today of the same model, and the problem persists. While the keyboard was gone, I used a basic Logitech keyboard as replacement (no LED's or special keys) and the problem was not noticeable at all. If the problem was still there, it was very rare.
A re-install of windows might fix this issue, but I would like that to be the last resort, for obvious reasons. And it's also weird why it was pretty much non-existent on a basic keyboard.
Thanks in advance, and please don't delete my thread.
