Battlefield 4 mantle error...help!?

Hello, i though id ask this question on here first before heading to bf forums as you guys have helped me out in the past. i have a giga r9 280x and just got bf4 i can play fine on ultra 1080p with direct x but when i choose mantle my game wont boot with below message -

I have the latest amd omega drivers, i have also reinstalled them by un installing everything then using driver sweeper to delete anything left over.

I have windows 7 64bit if that matters

Just to be sure, did you reboot after remotion and after re-installation? did you turn off the page file?
BTW, I don't even have that option to choose between DX or Mantle in the settings and play perfectly well with a R9 270.
