Hi,
My original RAM was 4x1 gigs which worked fine. I bought 4x2 gigs sticks of QVL RAM to upgrade to 8 Gigs in total.

However the PC wont boot with those four new sticks, only 2x2gigs(New) and 2x1 gigs totalling 6 gigs works fine.

All RAMs are fine and have no issue. all slots work fine.

Tried:
Upgrading the BIOS.
Flashing the CMOS.

MoBo->ASUS P5Q
processor->i7 Q9650
RAM->4X(NANYA DDR2/800 2GB PC2-6400U)

did you put the new ram in the correct slot? its colored coordinated. Is the new memory from the same brand and # of product? You might want to return it and buy two of the same new ones instead of mixing them together.

All the four RAMs are same maker, exactly the same and yes, in right slots as those slots are color coded.None of them is mixed!

after disabling memory remap three sticks show up. then i shut down and enable memory remapping and 3x2Gigs=6 gigs works fine. However, if i insert fourth, that doesnt show up.

Hope i can make all of them work.
