Just upgraded to a asus gtx 760 and now whenever i play a game, cpu fan starts spinning really fast and loud. I have a amd fx8320 with a stock cooler.

Solution
upgrade to a better cooler.
the loud noise is fan speed increasing to increased cpu usage..also upgrade your thermal paste, it might not be transfering enough heat off the cpu to the cooler. theres forum threads on here how to properly apply thermal pastes, also u can see videos on youtube showing u exactly how.

I'm not sure how loud you're talking about but the fans will increase to compensate for the increase in temperature. Download a fan speed monitor or purchase an aftermarket quieter fan if its annoying.

Yeah it goes from really quiet on the desktop to annoyingly loud. Is there a setting in game that I could turn down to decrease cpu usage?

Sweet, I'll probably get this now knowing that it will fit. Thanks a lot
