Hey everyone.

Lightning struck my house and fried most of electronics, so now I'm looking to rebuild my streaming pc.

It will be used for streaming console games, cs go, league of legends, and world of warcraft. Already have the case and optical drive.

I'm so confused as to whether I should go amd or intel for this build. Which components would you recommend?

Thanks for all of the help!

--------

First build has an i5 and both an SSD + mechanical storage. Second build sacrifices the mechanical storage option and picks up a more powerful CPU instead. Assuming you have some surviving hard drives the second build might make more sense. The motherboards are interchangeable in either build.

------

For WoW and other compute intensive multi-player games with poor multi-threading optimizations, I highly recomend sticking with an Intel i5 or better for this build, and pairing it with an nvidia GPU. AMD CPU's and their GPU driver/API implementations perform poorly in these types of workloads.
