Hey guys, I am putting together my first gaming build and I have a budget of $1300 dollars, I was wondering if I should go with a i7 vs i5 and if my parts that I have picked look good. I have done a little research and have come up with this, take a look at the parts and tell me what you think.

Sounds about right. For gaming the i5 is probably the sweet spot. Few games will benefit from the hyper-threading which is the major difference between the i5 and the i7 - at least not to the tune of $100. :)
