Quick question, everyone says use 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean thermal paste from your CPU. I could only get 99.7%. Is that extra 0.7% good or bad! or will it make no difference?
Clean the paste off as much as you can without any liquid, and then moisten something like a coffee filter (What I use, doesn't break off fibers) with the alcohol to wipe off the residue that you probably won't even see until you look back at the paper you're using to clean.
Alcohol is nice because it evaporates quickly without leaving residue of impurities like water often does, along with it having negligible electrical conductivity.
