good reliable ways to get windows 8.1 OEM product key?

need to know asap i have heard of G2A but im not sure what one it is for the OEM version (i have a windows disk)

You do that by buying it from a reputable, verified, reseller. Amazon, Newegg, Tigerdirect, Microcenter.
Or straight from MS.

The most reliable source is the Microsoft Store, but any reputable retailer should be nearly as good.

i just need the product key or is the one product key from the disk that i used only keyed to the one product number ?

The license key is the only thing that actually costs money. Having an install disk means little.

As said...from MS or an actual, verified reseller. Amazon, Newegg, etc, etc.
G2A is not one of those.

To buy only a key, Microsoft.

From any of the reliable resellers (mentioned above), they will send you the install media and the license key. There may be a license key in the confirmation email.

I'm currently helping my friend get his PC up and running and have seemed to have hit a bump in the road with Windows... I have a bootable windows 8.1 OEM version on a USB drive, and though that surely we could just buy a product key and use this... however on MS website we can't seem to find a option for buying just the product key, and only option we can find is to get a hard copy and the key that way... do you have any links or any suggestions as to what we should try?
