I have an issue with the write and reading speed of my kingston hyperx 3k 240gb ssd. Since the day i got it it hasn`t impressed me much with its speeds, i searched around a bit and have asked once here on Toms hardware before without any luck, now i have done some benchmarking and i have looked inside the pc to make sure everything is connected where it should be, but im stil unnable to find the issue with the drive :( Now please come with suggestions because im not too good with computers and im still learning a lot, so any suggestion might help!

The speeds have been at worst 120mb write and 240 read. I tested my regular hdd and the write speed was at best 110mb, almost as good as the ssd at times!

This makes me really upset when the ssd is rated at 550mb - 510mb (i know thats probably in the best scenario case but still, it surely isnt supposed to be as low as mine with just the operating system on it?)

SSD Benchmark result with just the operating system:

We need more information to diagnose the issue. Please list your pc's specs with make and model#'s if you can, especially for the motherbd. Which OS and version are you running?

From your speeds it seems you either have a sata2 motherbd, sata3 ports are in IDE or compatibility mode, or you are connected to a sata3 marvell controller.

Your motherboard has 6 SATA 3 (6Gb/s) ports.
Double-check that your SSD is connected to one of the 2 Intel 6Gb/s ports (SATA6G_1 or SATA6G_2), not to one of the 4 ASMedia 6Gb/s ports (SATA6G_E1 thru SATA6G_E4).
See page 1-38 of your motherboard manual for the location of the ports.
