Black screen after bios splash screen

On a new build i could not get into the bios or boot menu it would just go to a black screen with white cursor,so cleared the cmos by removing the battery for 5 mintues but now when the pc is turned on, after the bios splash screen a white "_" appears with cursor for a second then the screen turned to black and doesn't boot up windows. still cannot access bio or boot menu on start up to.

Hi,

Can you please remove all drives and expansion cards such as Wifi Adapter/Graphics Card and see if there is any change. Can you tell me your specs? Motherboard, CPU, GPU etc. What was the last thing you did before running into this problem? Install something/update BIOS. Also, make sure you try both your GPU's VGA/HDMI and Integrated Graphics. Try a BIOS Restore via usb if supported by your Motherboard.

Hi

I've got the same problem. It showed up when I added a new graphics card. When I just use my old card (gtx 660) everything is working fine, but when I have them both I get this problem (both are gtx 660). I also get this problem when I only use the new card. I assumed that the new card were faulty but might it be something else?

Yes I instaled the new GPU in the slot were I used to have the old just to be sure. Got the same thing.
