I am building a new pc and after research decided on the x99 chipset. I have found all the parts I wanted, but I keep questioning the mobo choice. at first I thought the X99 Deluxe was my best bet because of all of its nice features, then i read some reviews and it doesn't seem like its that good of a board and I heard it blows up. I Heard some good things from Gigabyte so I thought about their Gaming G1 WIFI, turns out those review weren't that good either. So im not sure what to get. I need a board this some good audio components, durable parts, and a good layout. Im going to game(1440p), edit videos, stream, as well as studio production.

My parts:
5820k
2xEVGA 980 SC
Evga P2 1600w
Ripjaws 4 2800 16gb
850 evo 250gb
840 evo 120gb
WD 1tb black

I know some of these parts may be too much for what I need but this PC has to last me for a long time.

Solution
If you want an X99 build (which is actually future-proof), this is the way to go, with 3-way SLI support:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor ($299.99 @ Micro Center)
CPU Cooler: Phanteks PH-TC14PE_RD 78.1 CFM CPU Cooler ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X99-UD4 ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($240.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Kingston 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($279.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($119.99 @ B&H)

I thought you were talking about a motherboard. Im trying not to go over $31xx. I have picked parts I think would last my for a while, Im just stuck on picking a mobo. I just heard that Asus is doing an x99 TUF board so if that comes out before spring 2015 thats my choice. But the rest of the parts are:
5820k
2xEVGA 980 SC
Evga P2 1600w
Ripjaws 4 2800 16gb
850 evo 250gb
840 evo 120gb
WD 1tb black

Im going to game(1440p), edit videos, stream, as well as studio production. I've been thinking about should I even go x99 or Z97. but after looking at the numbers I save about $200 by going with z97. A cost i have no problem making if it will "future proof" my system. and the 120gb ssd is for a bootdrive, the 250gb for games and other applications.

I would personally get the X99 system if you're prepared to spend the extra 300$.
