Hello, my pc I built was running all nice and fine, everything seemed to be working perfectly, until I tried running a game called APB: reloaded which I downloaded from steam, while the game was starting up, the computer stopped displaying anything, I then restart my computer, my gpu fan suddenly runs faster than normal, and nothing is being displayed on the monitor.
I restart the computer again, and the problem persist.

heres what I tried:

reseating the gpu.

reconnecting psu

tried using internal graphics (wont work)

reseting the bios.

reseating the cpu.

used different monitors

used a different gpu(didnt work)

used the gpu on a different computer (the gpu works fine)

so now im thinking that problem comes from the motherboard, which worked fine for several games before, I might need to replace it *cringes* but whats the problem really, I hope I can avoid replacing the motherboard.

here's my system:

cpu: A8 series A8-6600K 3.9 GHz Quad-CoreProcessor

MOBO: asus a78m-e

RAM: 2 x 4gb team red zues (8gb)

gpu: HD Radeon 6670 1GB GDDR5

PSU: antec 500w

I really hope I can avoid replacing anything.

Solution
Hi, Motherboard or CPU (I'd RMA them both).
Try connecting a case speaker to the motherboard, start it with no RAMs and see if any beeps.
If no beeps, you'd know that it's motherboard, CPU or both.
