I fixed my PC with the help of someone here on the forum. Now I have another problem.

When installing vista, the PC irregular freezes over time. Since a few moments it also makes a creepy noise. My first guess was that my HD had died but when I opened the case I found that the sound comes from under the lowest fan. Can someone explain to me which part of the PC this is?
Added is the video:

Thank you very much for answering!

Also, the freezing looks like this (look for the distortion in the top of the opened window)

CPU fan. I recommend replacing that, also download some monitoring software, such as coretemp so you can keep an eye on system tmperatures.

A decent aftermarket cooler, like the CM Hyper 212 will cool the processor better and eliminate some noise as well.

Thanks for your quick response. When I stop the fans (GPU and apparently the CPU) with my finger you still hear the rattling sound, so could this still be the fan?

The sound appears to be coming from underneath the lower fan. When I stop the fan you can hear the rattling going on. A specific point is hard to tell because of the narrow space where I can actually put an ear on.
