Help guys, I just assembled my new pc, it's an msi970a-g43 and I've got a 1TB sata and an SSD, I have already installed windows on the Sata disk but I still can't get the SSD to. In the installation when I have to choose a disk on the bottom appears, "Windows cannot be installed to this disk" and something to do with it not being bootable, it's first boot so no, but the installation continues until the first restart when it's supposed to finish the last bits of the installation, I instead get the windows black screen, logon.exe error. Tried running repair after the installation and did startup repair but it got nothing.

I've set sata mode to AHCI, enabled fast boot on the bios, formated and erased the hard drive multiple times with diskpart. What could it be?

Thanks

Solution
It probably depends on whom you bought it from but if you have all the original documentation and packaging, including the purchase invoice, you should be covered so long as it was a new item and not sold as used.

I'd contact the seller first and then try Sandisk.
Remove the HDD from the system and reinstall the OS to the SSD using the "Clean" install method listed here:

http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2299-clean-install-windows-8-a.html

Afterwards you can reconnect the HDD but I would recommend deleting all the partitions on it using disk management or another partition manager, and then format the HDD for use as storage or whatever you want to use it for. Not sure why you would have installed the OS to the HDD if you already had an SSD but it doesn't really matter. Windows probably won't install to the SSD since you already have an OS connected to the system. Remove the HDD, connect the SSD and go into the BIOS and designate the SSD as the primary drive then perform the Clean Install.

Already did all of that, in fact it worked for my grandma's SSD but I couldn't install it on mine. I guess the SSD is faulty and will send it for warranty.

Thanks for answering though

Just trying to install using the "normal" method won't work if no partition and format has been done to the drive, in most cases. You have to choose the "custom" method, delete all partitions, create a partition using all of the unallocated disk space and then point the installation to that partition. If you've done THAT, and it still didn't work, you might try making sure your BIOS is up to date first, and then lay the blame on the SSD if it still doesn't work.

Yep I did all of that, I'm running the lastest BIOS version, I already installed windows on my SATA hard drive and on a kingston SSD, but I still can't do it in mine. I already wrote to SanDisk, they said they had warranty for 3 years after purchase date but as I bought if off ebay I don't know if it applies.

This is exactly why I NEVER buy used hardware, not even from somebody I know and trust. There is no recourse if something fails, plus, you don't know the history of abuse or lack of abuse, either way. You also don't know how OLD the device actually is. Some very good products on the market have been sold for years and are still currently being made and sold, so you don't know if it was used two weeks or two years.

Most hardware, especially GPUs, but other hardware too, generally sells for 50-75% of it's initial cost but does not offer 50-75% of the original lifespan of the device, so it makes little sense in MOST cases to go that route. Failures due to OEM defects typically occur within the first 30-60 days after purchase so at least with a new item you don't end up eating crow if there is a total failure that isn't the fault of abuse or improper installation. Just my 2cents.
