Hello, on games like dayz I am being bottlenecked because when I'm on very low textures I get the exact same fps as playing on very high, I need to upgrade the CPU, but I will need a new motherboard but I have already found one to buy. I need a 1150 processor, I am considering getting the i5 4670k, is this a good choice?

The i5-4670K is only about 6% faster than the 3570K.
What motherboard you have now? Have you tried overclocking the 3570K?

And what framerates are you getting in-game?

Before you go spending money on upgrades (particularly ones that are such a small jump in performance), you gotta determine if there's more you can do or if there are other issues like overheating, software problems, etc.

Not true, it depends on the game. In Battlefield 4 multiplayer, for example, a 3770K will bottleneck many SLI configurations unless you overclock it to the 4.2-4.5GHz neighbourhood.

The CPU load and the role it plays in the rendering process varies depending on the game, so you can't make sweeping statements about whether a CPU will or won't bottleneck a certain card.

yeah sli config where your getting 110fps+ and you remove the gpu bottleneck, every game will see an increase as you scale to a higher performing cpu obviously. but who cares if your already sustaining 110fps.

No need for a CPU upgrade pal. If you've got money lying around then go for it but imho you won't get too much gain especially if your res is 1080p. I own a 3570k and run a GTX 780. Im considering upgrading to a 980 in a few month. Ill possibly upgrade my CPU in 12 month. I dont have much money as I have 5 kids to support so ill take turns every 6-12 months which part to upgrade of my PC to achieve Very High - Ultra settings @ 60fps 1080p. I havent needed to upgrade my CPU for quite some time and still dont. Its my GPU which is starting to struggle to achieve 60fps very high- Ultra in newer games.
