Computer Shuts off with new graphics card?

I use a HDMI cord for display on my monitor. It seems that when it comes even a TINY but loose my computer restarts or shuts off? The HDMI is plugged into my EVGA GTX 660. Should I switch to a VGA cable or is there a fix for this?

I have an EVGA 500 watt power supply which is more than enough to run my GTX 660... It seems to happen when the HDMI cord is wiggled even slightly...?

i would say first try a different port vga etc if that doesnt work you might have a faulty gpu if it does the hdmi port must be messed up or maybe even the cord could be causing it but first try the vga port and report back
