######SOLVED, SEE THIS POST: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20019231/vt-not-supported-when-installing-haxm

I'm at a complete loss for what to try because every time I needed it on past machines I just flicked the switch in bios and it worked. I've tried googling around but I can't even find another person with my situation.

What I've been using to verify that it isn't working.
- No 64bit option in virtual box, aswell as not being able to select more then one core
- Can't install Intel HAXM for android development
- Intel Processor Identification Utility
- Gibson Research Corporation's Securable

Current setup: Windows 8.1, Intel Core i5-4690K, Asus Z97-A, Ripjaws X-series, GTX 970

Solution

Pretty sure the K models don't have virtualization.
