There is ONLY a bottleneck if your CPU is currently at or close to 100% usage, or if throttling at a way too high temperature. If not, there simply is and won't be a bottleneck.

Well he doesn't know, he's asking if it would.
As for the bottleneck, I think it would create a slight bottleneck, but nothing very major. I'd go with it, and in the near future upgrade the CPU.

An i5 4440 will not bottleneck a single gtx 980 in gaming. It might be a bottleneck for 2 or 3 of them but not 1.
