Hey guys,im new here and this is my first question,And I hope u guys would help me this issue.
I have a hp pavilion 15 series notebook...Well I know its not made for gaming and stuff but,i guess I can do medium settings in most games.THE ISSUE- I have the NVidia GT 740m and it throttles as soon as the temp touches 67 degress celcius. (I HAVE 64 BIT VERSION WITH,980 MHz core clock speed) but as soon as it touches 67 degrees celcius it throttles and goes down all the way till 550 MHz!!! that's insane makes games unbearable to play :( ... and yes the gpu never crosses the temp of 67. my cpu stays around 70-75(which is great!) so I guess its based on the vBIOS. :pfff:
so is there any way in which I could unlock the bios or flash it??? appreciate ur help guys ,
THNX in advance. :D

Solution
Just try - "Take the covers off and blow the dust out with compressed air. Use a laptop cooler." instead of arguing. You should do this regardless.

hmm, sadly i have cross cheaked that with intel. My cpu is a i5 4200-u, it can operate upto 100 degress celcius,so again no propblem there :( + MY GPU COULD DO 100 CELCIUS AS WELL AND 67 is the max it has ever reached.well there would be no harm if the temp goes a lil more.

Are u sure mate? Cuz' i have seen videos of the i5 4200u going over 75 celcius and yes,my gpu never-never eent above 67 celcius and once it does reach 67 it throttles :( it looks like GPU BOOST 2.0 is the cause.so,if there any way i could disable it? I tried Forcing the P state but,in vain. ONLY WAY IS THE BIOS EDITING WHICH I NEED HELP FOR.
