Acer aspire 10 won´t turn on

The computer is pluged in, the light that signalizes it is on but when i try to turn the computer on, nothing happens, please help. I have the version with extra 500 gb of storage in the keyboard, and windows 8.1

Has there been a recent hardware change on the laptop?
If no, try this:
Remove every accessory (external keyboard, mouse, external hard disk, flash drives, etc).
Unplug the charger.
Remove the battery.
With the charger and the battery removed, press and hold the power button for one minute.
Release the power button.
Connect the charger back, and try turning it on again.
See how that goes.

I had the identical issue. Disconnect everything, hold button down for one minute and listen carefully for a "click". If it does not switch on, hold button down again. No need to remove battery unless several attempts as above fail.

remove the keyboard and turn on without it. Let me know if it works
