I have got a ASUS m5a97 le r2.0, I installed HyperX FURY Series 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1866MHz. Bare in mind I did not check to see if my motherboard is compatible with it.

I noticed there was a problem playing Advanced Warfare where it stated I have not got enough ram, even though I have 8GB installed (I checked the ram slots to see if they were in correctly which they were), then I was in my properties and out of 8GB ram I have 3.9GB usable, I went into resource manager and it said 4196mb is used for 'Hardware Reserved' my friend (who has a different spec computer) only has 35mb hardware reserved.

can anyone help me?

I have tried remapping the ram, updating the bios, memtest, moving the ram slots, I have tried EVERYTHING the internet has offered me but nothing works :(

here are my specs if anyone is wondering;

CPU: AMD 8350 4Ghz
MotherBoard: ASUS m5a97 le r2.0
Ram: HyperX FURY Series 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1866MHz
GPU: Asus GTX 970 Strix 4GB
PSU: 550watt
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64bit (I have checked and it is)

Please could anyone help me?

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_LE_R20/HelpDesk_CPU/ says your CPU should work OK from bios 1006 on. What bios version have you got?

It's not a very good quality motherboard. Do not try to OC the CPU.

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_LE_R20/HelpDesk_QVL/ is where you'll find compatible ram. Your HyperX should be compatible.

Go into bios and see if you can change the system reserve for integrated graphics. Read your mobo manual on how to do it. You can download it from here - http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_LE_R20/HelpDesk_Manual/

Also in Task Manager, how is your ram divided up? Have you set a ramdisk by any chance or increased the page file allowance?

Grademaster: I am running the latest Bios, on my bios setting its only showing the half the memory but if I go in the memory settings it does detect both the ram, just where it says total memory it only says 4080MB.

Tradesman1: the Dram is at 557.9mhz, this is annoying me as any software or application that requires 8gb of ram because slow and crashes because my computer is only letting me have the amount is has left after Hardware reserved takes away 4gb which is not right.

May not be compatible - XMP doesn't do much good since the Fury's doon't work under XMP - they are PnP based - Do you have the latest BIOS? if not get that, if you do try clearing the CMOS and then install only the Fury sticks. If the mobo supports PnP the sticks should set up automatically - if they don't then would have to try manually

It's not the worst DRAM ;), biggest problem with DRAM is it's so misunderstood, probably the least understood component in a rig, too many people out there thing it's simply all the same thing DDR3 is DDR3 and it's not, some use XMP, some use Pnp, some don't use either. There's high density and low density chips being used. There's a number of chip makers that can go onto the sticks. Even the solder used from one series to another or from different production runs can affect DRAM...With all this playing in, it's why DRAM manufacturers test the sticks in an individual package to ensure they play together

I haven't done anything like that at all, I built my PC from scratch and then all this happened, do you think I should look to see if some memory has automatically been applied to pagefiling if I can find where it is

im trying everything you lot are asking me to do but nothing is happening, I read somewhere something to do with the motherboard and the CPU, but I dont want to do that incase I cause more issues, but do you think it could be the motherboard?

I have tried what you just offered and nothing happened :(
