Looking for a Good Heat Sink

What is the best bang for the buck heatsink out there for 1150 (Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell Quad-Core). I want a simple install and something that will keep the CPU nice and cool. I love the Scythe that I currently have since it required 0 tools to install.

I don't really want to spend a lot of money with this as I'm over budget for my current build right now but willing to pay for a nice one.

Thanks for any opinions!

This is the review I looked at and here is what they concluded for noise levels

http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=2658&page=3

"With its 120mm PWM fan rotating at the full 1700RPM, the Zalman CNPS10X Optima heatsink produces a moderate 49.9 dBA noise. If we reduce fan speed to 1000RPM, heatsink noise levels fall to whisper quiet 38.3 dBA."

On the same chart the high fan speeds for the EVO was 2db quieter...

I looked at their temperature comparison and the EVO was 1-2 degrees cooler than the optima. For more than double the price.

I'm new to this whole oil to the bearings thing. My current Scythe setup doesn't use all that fancy stuff. Is this oil to the bearings a pain to maintain? I'm just looking for an easy setup that doesn't require a lot of attention.

I've looked at the EVO's and almost bought one last night but wanted to make sure what my other options were. I have to say I'm very interested in the Zalman CNPS10X OPTIMA that Razer posted. I don't mind a little noise but want to make sure things are going to be kept cool and function properly.

Not at all. All pc fans use either ball bearing or some type of fluid bearing. They usually require low, if any maintenance for normal use, and in the event they do the fix is easy (google how to lubricate a case fan) or you can replace the fan for a few bucks.

tl;dr Don't worry about maintenance.

I'm sorry but I'm still going to disagree here. I've owned the 212 Plus (similar to the EVO) for a few years before I upgraded to the NH-D15 and it's not anything special. It does its job for a budget cooler well. However as I said before, there are coolers which occasionaly go on sale which offer similar performance for a cheaper price.

The Arctic i30 is really underrated IMO. I have the AMD version (A30) and it's 4X8mm heatpipes can keep CPU temps in check on an FX-8350 overclocked to 220W+ levels. Only problem with these is they are bulky and hang low clearance over the first 2 RAM slots. It will clear standard PCB height for DDR3 but no more.
