I upgraded my psu for one reason and that is to upgrade my GPU, I am looking for something like R9 270x GTX 760 etc. My problem is that will I have performance loss cause of my cpu i know its an old one but it performs well. What do you suggest me to do?

E5200 is definitely too weak. You could search for a quad core CPU like Q8400 or even a high frequency dual core like E8400. Another option is to do a full system upgrade. In other words replacing the motherboard, the CPU and the RAM. By the way if you have less than 4GB of RAM it is really better to upgrade to DDR3.
