Drivers installed ok
Seated correctly with fan and led working. Plugging the monitor into the new card results in blank screen. The onboard ATI 4200 is the only card showing in device manager

PCI-E graphics set as primary in bios? Power cord connected?

The bios is set to primary, but I think that the card should power from the motherboard and the fan turns and the led is lit. I will try and attach a flat power connector to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks Guys. It is now working OK. The problem was I was told it didn't need external power as it ran from the motherboard and as I had and led and the fans were running I assumed this to be the case. Once I attached a PCI power cable to my PSU and then the card it then worked!!!. It is usually the simplest of things. Thank you all for your help and prompting, they helped me track down the problem.
