FOR GAMING - if you are not looking to buy for a dedicated GPU then the a8-6600k will be the choice here.
But if you do plan to buy a dedicated GPU lets say a gtx 750ti then the g3258 will be the better option especially if you overclock it to 4ghz, it will be @ core i3 performance.
