Here is my config :

CPU : intel core i5 3470 3.2GHz turbo boost upto 3.6Ghz.

Ram : 2*4GB 1333Mhz DDR3
GPU : MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4GB.

Mainboard : ASUS H61P8MLX3 R2.0

PSU :thermaltake litepower 600 W.

monitor : ASUS VX229H 21.5 inch.

For the sake of better supports to ram and SLI'ing the GPU, i will be changing my mainboard.I'm planning to buy a B75 or Z77 with more slots and supports.

My question is : is my i5 3470 enough for gaming for at least next 2-3 years?

if yes , then i will buy a new 3rd generation mainboard like B75 or Z77 .

But, if it's not enough i may sell the set and get an i7 with 4th gen mobo but that will cost me way too much.

what should i do ???

Franky, even if I owned "old" i5 2500K, I would still keep it knowing for sure that it will be more than enough for gaming for several years to come. So yes, it will be enough.

Your PSU could use an upgrade, though, it is only tier 3 on this list:

Meaning it is not bad, but not recommended for gaming rigs or powerful graphics card. Let alone SLI.

For SLI with 970s I would go for 750W PSU from Seasonic or XFX. or anything on tier 1, tier 2a or tier 2b on the above list.

I will definitely change my PSU before SLI'ing , but that will take almost a year. Right now, my only concern is the CPU.

Ur 2500k can be overclocked like hell, my 3470 can't . will it still be enough ???

And, if i have to pick one from B75 or Z77, with which should i go ???
