8 pin connector but only 4 pins from motherboard?

I'm using the ASRock H81M-HDS LGA 1150 motherboard and a CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W power supply. The power supply comes with 8 pins for the cpu but theres only 4 pins to connect it to, or is there? Am I doing something wrong?

Use an 8pin to 4 pn adapter it is usually included in the box of the motherboard!

Some motherboards only have 4, you'll be fine. Some even have up to 6 or 8.

All you'll need is a cable adapter (e.g. 8-pin to 4-pin connector). It will split up the existing 8-pin connector into two 4-pin connectors.
