Hi guys!

I'm a bit confused right now I need your help. So.. I bought an Intel i5 4690K (LGA 1150) cpu and an ASUS Z97 PRO Gamer motherboard which has LGA 1150 socket. Now on the mobo there are writings saying "LGA 115x" all over the place. Does that "x" mean that I would be able to mount my LGA 1156 compatible fan on this socket?
Actually I didn't expect that I could use my old fan with the new build as well but now I wonder..

Thanks!

Hello,
What are you looking for? To fit the stock cooler on the new mobo? Get yourself an inexpensive Cooler Master 212 EVO, that cooler is great and fits LGA 775, 1150,1155,1156 and 2011 along with AMD AM1,AM2,AM3 and FMx sockets(view site for compatible ones, I'm recalling those from memory and may not be accurate). You should however check your RAM clearance and case width because it's quite big and might not fit if your case isn't wide enough or if your RAM has a tall heat spreader on it. If you just want to switch it to your new mobo then it should be OK as 1150, 155 and 1156 only vary in CPU pins on the socket itself and not the bracket holes I think.
Hope I helped :D
