I am currently using the Asus A88XM-A motherboard, looking at their website there a lot of drivers availiable.

http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/A88XMA/HelpDesk_Download/

Which is recommended to be installed, I'm not very good with understanding which drivers are important.

P.S I have basic chipsets installed.

Thank you!

Well you have to download the latest driver to install the latest driver.

Installing latest mostly always a better option, but not always.

All you have to do is choose the latest drivers to be install.
For my experience Chipset driver is most importance thing to install before the other, and then LAN, VGA, AUDIO and SATA.

(Optional)You may also update BIOS with BIOS Utility if you have problem unstable when using your PC like blue screen etc

I was looking for audio drivers, which I now have installed.

But looking down the list there are many more that can be installed, I was wondering if I have to install every new driver which is available / would it help my PC if I have them all installed?

As you said above, you already have an audio driver, so if it is work fine you don't really need to update it.

New driver is made to fix various issues that happened on some audio hardware. In a driver package not mean to contain only driver for your audio hardware, but can be for many audio hardware from same manufacturer. That is what i tell you not always need to install latest.
