Safe to run at 100% constantly?

Hey guys,

Basically, I run my PC at like 80-90% CPU usage all day everyday, with maybe a day off in the week (as well as 90% RAM).

Is this safe for my hardware, or should I stop doing this?

I have:
i5 2500k @ 4.5Ghz, watercooled by a Corsair H80
750w CX750M Corsair PSU
MSI P67A-GD53(B3) Motherboard

Usually running the computer like that will reduce lifespan and increase power consumption.

The real issue here is that you are doing it with a heavily overclocked cpu on a mainstream motherboard. I would not be surprised if you wear out the capacitors or fans very quickly. Once that happens, at such a high overclock, the cpu or motherboard will most likely fry.

That is a pretty decent board...

Excellent VRMs and decent VRM cooling, would not call it mainstream and 4.5 GHz is not high for a 2500K.

Yes, the 2500k routinely achieves 4.5 but it's stock is 3.3. This is before intel integrated some power regulation components unto the CPU, so it's going to put more stress on the motherboard. Running a high overclock always carries more risk, no matter the processor. You are using voltage and power settings the original manufacturer never intended and it's why any warranty you had on the CPU, RAM, and motherboard are voided when you overclock.
