Hi,
I'm downloading DA: Inquisition and after I read the Bioware forums many players complain about bad PC controls, can I fix this by just connecting a controller at my PC?

The PC (meaning mouse+keyboard) controls are awful and for many completely unusable.
There is no click-to-move, no click-to-interact, no click-to-attack. No click to anything really. It's as if they forgot that mice click on things. If you want DAO or even DA2 type m+kb controls, you're out of luck here.

It took until patch 3 just to get a walk toggle. The only way this game is even moderately playable on a PC is with a controller, but then, you might as well play the console version as all the menus are designed for watching on a TV screen 8 feet away anyway. Note however, that with a controller connected (assuming you can get it to work - there are reports of people needing to disconnect all other USB peripherals first) the m+kb won't work at all. You can use one or the other but not both. Appearently, programming advances from the previous 20 years were lost at BioWare.

Then it's pretty odd that I'm able to click to interact.
So you have to use wasd keyes to move, how terrible.

Not the same as in DAO but still far from unusable and there are games with far worse pc controls.
I own an xbox controller in case of bad pc ports and while this game isn't perfect I have felt no need to use it.

Yes, you can click to interact IF you are near the object already. Your character will not walk to it if you are far (as it did on previous DA titles and on pretty much any other similar RPG).
Also, you can use WASD to move, however your camera view doesn't move with the mouse unless you hold RMB, which again, is frustrating, not an issue with other RPGs and completely unacceptable.
