hi, i have a internal 1tb seagate hdd. i put it in my computer about a week or 2 ago and since then it has been choosing when it is seen in my computer and disk management. bios always picks it up but windows dosent, its not a boot drive and it was formatted in NTFS. however when i run a ubuntu boot disk it sees it but says the disk is in secure mode. i used magic partition to reformat it and it had to unlock it and such left it to format and it worked but now it has done it again and i don't know why. the partition magic disk will work but it seems to be a temporary solution. and i don't want to keep losing my files. im running windows 7 btw.

it requires you find the information of the actual disk in disk manager and windows dos not pick up the hard drive at all. so basically no solution using windows will work i thought you could read.....
