I'm picking a new motherboard as my old motherboard had bad RAM buses (or my RAM, Crucial Ballistix Sport was bad, but the socket pins were bent anyways so RMA!). I'm now in need of a new board and I hope you guys can help me pick the best one. I'm looking for a sub 150$ board and the lowest price is most preferable. The specs are in my sig in case of any compatibility issues or advantages.

I might get new RAM (G.Skill Ripjaws 2x4GB) so if you can help me find one compatible with my current and possibly future RAM, that would be great. As for overclocking, I might do a bit but not too much. All I want is a board that is reputable for not having defect parts like the one I had where RAM would work in one slot then not work in the other and then not work when put back in its original slot, definitely not a RAM problem.

My bad, LOL. As mentioned above, you could also get the ATX version of the MSI B85 Gaming (http://uk.msi.com/product/mb/B85G43_GAMING.html#hero-overview)

What socket, and what motherboard size (e.g. socket 1150, micro-atx)
EDIT: OK, from your sig socket 1150, and I presume micro-atx. The MSI B85M Gaming is a good choice (http://uk.msi.com/product/mb/B85M_GAMING.html#hero-overview)

I feel your question almost answers itself and there are so many different options it's almost impossible to give a uniform answer where more than two people agree.

You want reliability in a market where products and processes are tested rigourously so pretty much any board is going to be reliable. If you really want unparallelled reliability look for one which uses MIL standard components (military grade). Aside from that find one that meets your specs and get it from a reputable brand with a decent warranty. Gigabyte, Asus, MSI To name a few.

Alright you said military grade. This board meets my specs, is military class and from MSI. It's the MSI B85M-E45, good pick?
