My Seiki 50' has been having issues ever since I purchased. Could not find a solution to it, so I waited a while till more people purchased item and found a an answer. No avail.

My issue is this...I have a gtx 590 with three dvi slots and mini display port. All the slots give different resolution sizes for my Seiki 50'. As I am typing I am using the first dvi slot running hdmi to hdmi on Seiki 50'. The PC resolution is 1920x1080@120hz and it looks beautiful, but my problem is that the screen blacks out and searches for a source every so often and comes back to display the 1920x1080@120hz at top right. It has been ongoing and has caused so many issues for my gaming that I don't even use the t.v. anymore. At the same resolution, but @ 60hz it has no issues. It will game for as long as I wish.

Just asking the community if anyone has this issue and has resolved it.

Everything on my computer is up to date and the specs are in my signature. Thank you.

See if your computer is seeing the TV as a Generic PNP monitor. With Windows you can do this by Right-Clicking desktop>Screen Resolution>Advanced Settings>Monitor Tab and it should be listed here. IF it does indeed show Generic PNP, then to my knowledge you must download drivers to output at a full 120hz.

Likely what is happening is your TV is refreshing at 120hz, however you PC is only sending 60hz, overtime the two become too unsynchronized that the TV display loses it's connectivity with the video input. This is just my theory however I've seen very similar things happen before.

Try going to seiki's website and your products support page and see if there are any Windows drivers available.

Also, you said that you are using your First DVI port, yet you then mention that the connection is HDMI to HDMI? Are you using an Adapter? And if so, is this Adapter DVI-D to HDMI? The adapter may be causing the issue in not reaching past 60hz to the desired 120hz.

Your card is more then capable of handling 120hz. Please report back your findings in your troubleshooting attempts.

Very interesting... I'm assuming there are no Seiki drivers available in your findings?

My next step would be to recommend to wipe GPU drivers clean (Driver Sweeper) and reinstall with latest drivers from nVidia.

If there is no luck gained from that step, I'm afraid I'm out of recommendations. I see in amazon reviews and the CNET review where people have successfully gamed at 120hz on this display... however from what I've gathered it seems to be that HDMI-to-HDMI is the only deliminating factor between your setup and theirs. If you have a friend that has a Gfx card with an HDMI output that they are willing to allow you to borrow, I'd try strictly going HDMI-to-HDMI.

In worst case scenario, you could go to your local Best Buy, buy and troubleshoot with a card, and then return within 15 days. (scandalous right? lol)

Never mind about my issue, you helped me resolve it. I have an adapter and the cable with the link I provided. ATM I was using the adapter and it was causing issues. Now I am using the DVI-D to HDMI and it works with no blinking issues. Haha. Silly me. Thanks for the help, but I do have a quick question though, do you notice that each DVI port has different resolution settings for your monitors? I notice when I change dvi slots that I can't obtain the same resolutions as the other slots had previously showed me. It's strange.

No problem! Glad I can help. To figure out why all of the DVI ports are giving different resolutions will probably be kind of tricky and may go into the lower-level mechanics of video signals that I don't know about. However, my assumption would be that your card's DVI ports may not all be the same type of DVI... some could possibly be DVI-I, another DVI-D and another DVI-A (however A is analog and I kind of doubt that would be on a card). This is just my theory and I could easily be wrong.

I've always have experienced extremely weird issues when using a TV as a display though.
