Need help getting RAM to run at a good speed.

Solution
803 says your ram is operating at 1600 speed.
On the next tab over, there is a spd tab.
there will be 2/4 drop downs that show what is installed in each slot and some XMP profiles.
It is one of those xmp profiles that you want to use.
You select one of those xmp profiles in the ram settings in the bios.

If this is a big bother, don't worry. You are looking at a real performance difference of about 1% anyway.
Higher speed is offset by needing higher(slower) cas numbers.
All ram will have a default slower speed so you can get into the bios and adjust ram settings.

In the bios, there will be an option to select a XMP profile.
That is a set of ram settings imbedded in the ram that will give you the 1866 speed you want.
Do not be alarmed if it looks like 933, which is correct. You double the speed with dual channel operations.

Use cpu-z to see what you actually have.

Thanks for a fast reply, appreciate it man. CPU - Z says they are running at 803.5MHz, so would I double that figure? 1607MHz? I'll try to attach the screenshot I took of CPU - Z. If that is the case, that I would double that figure, I wouldn't bother to overclock 1607MHz is already a big upgrade from my last ram.

This is a link to the screenshot on facebook, but doesn't seem to have worked? It is the 'DRAM Frequency' that is 803.5 MHz on CPU Z

Thanks a lot for clearing that up for me geofelt, true gent :) I think I'll leave it how it is, I can tell a big difference anyway and prefer not to overclock anything if i don't have to. The more stable the better for me. Had a R9 270X Devil as well, happy with both.
