I would change to the new AMD 5350 nice APU just bought one myself quad core runs like a dream

CPU - Upgrade to an Ivy Bridge i5 from the used market. No need to purchase new for something a bit dated. Look toward the I5-3350, or any of the 3000 series processors. You will NOT need a K series processor which is meant for overclocking.
CPU Cooler - If it doesn't come with the stock Intel cooler, you will need one.
GPU - Upgrade to an R9 280X or other "large" GPU within your budget.
MEM - Add a second matching module.
SSD - Add one.
PSU - Get rid of the so-so Corsair CX unit. XFX or Seasonic.

NOTE: The CPU price below is inflated as it is new. Looking toward the used market should put you very close to 400.
