Yes you are likely experiencing a CPU bottleneck. You should upgrade to an FX 6300 or FX 8320 if you can.

Yes, the fx 4100 and the rest of the x1xx series are poor gaming cpus due to very weak single core performance.

Yea its crazy how much AMD managed to improve from Zambezi to Vishera (and with Richland) given the die itself is like completely unchanged.
Good news is that AMD's CPU prices are pretty low now so even a much faster CPU shouldn't cost much.

The 9370 would more than likely require a motherboard(only a handful of boards support the 9xxx series) and cooling upgrade aswell and at that point you might aswell get a better Intel cpu and motherboard.
