Would I have to re-install Windows 8 if I use the same hard drive with a different motherboard?

Hello. I'm currently about to upgrade my computer and was wondering if I would have to re-install Windows 8 if I got a different motherboard, while using the same hard drive.

Solution
If the boards are very similar, it might boot and get all the correct drivers loaded. If the board is very different from the original though, its doubtful. Even if you do get it working, it can be buggy. New motherboard is generally a new install required, and recommended.

Ive had decent luck getting windows 8 to boot but if you need a very reliable machine I would recommend to refresh windows 8 by going to Charm bar>Settings>General>Advanced Start-up>Troubleshooting, assuming it will boot at all. MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE you even open the PC.
