Hey everyone, I hope to be attempting my first build soon, but I had some questions I wanted to ask before committing. Here's the build link: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/jfc1998/saved/LhVbt6

So here's my questions:
1. This build will work, right? I know pcpartpicker says it will, but I just need human confirmation.
2. This is meant for a decent budget gaming system. How well would this build work for that, playing games on high to mid settings?
3. I kind of added the ssd afterwards because I know they're supposed to really help the speed of the computer. Will it really help the build, or would it just be overkill?
4. Being a noob at building, I know I'll need an OS but I'm not sure how to get one. I would like to avoid shelling out an extra hundred on Windows. I know that people sell keys online and there's Linux also, but I'm unclear as to how I would go about installing without a physical copy.

Thanks in advance!
(I think the link to the parts list should work, but if not here's a text list. If the link doesn't work let me know and I'll try to fix it.)

Solution
1: it will work

2: it will be alright. I would recommend an i3 build instead though. Better performance and an upgrade path. Also, get low profile RAM and a 2x4gb kit, not one stick.

3: it will make windows a bit quicker but does nothing for DPS in games. Only loading times.

4: buy windows.
